Hao Qi
Ph.D. Student in Applied Mathematics Statistics Concentration
I am a Ph.D. student in Applied Mathematics (Statistics concentration) at UNC Charlotte, advised by Dr. Qingning Zhou and Dr. Yeseul Jeon. My research interests lie at the intersection of statistical learning, time-series analysis, and biostatistics.
Before joining UNC Charlotte, I completed the Master of Statistics at Rice University, where I worked on longitudinal image prediction and acute kidney injury research with Dr. Huixia Judy Wang and Dr. Meng Li. I also earned B.S. degrees in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics from Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences.
My research focuses on statistical and machine learning methods for healthcare, especially longitudinal and time-series data. I have worked on postoperative risk prediction and longitudinal modeling.
